The Shake crew asked upcoming guest and Shake favorite UNiiQU3 a few questions to learn more about her. Off her recent release “Phase 3”, UNiiQU3 is taking the club scene by storm with her musical skills, DIY event #135theParty, and playing around the world to spread the word of Jersey Club. What were some of the first recordings you can remember hearing that really spoke to you on another level?
Frou Frou “Let Go” and Sonqiue “It Feels So Good”.
Was there any moment in particular that sparked your interest into music?
I’ve always been into music. My mom loved watching musicals and that’s what really got me into singing and dancing.
What’s your favorite literary work?
The Alchemist and I also like books about baby momma drama, drugs and hustle. Like love and hip hop crap lol.
What was the last song you played on your phone?
My new single with Michael Brun “How about this”. It’s my first house record and I’m gassed.
What’s your number one favorite thing to do outside of music?
Dancing and chilling with my friends.
Who are your favorite Jersey producers right now?
DJ Smallz, Jiddy, and DJ K-SHiZ.
What should people keep an eye out for you from you?
I’ll be dropping a lot of visual content this year. I want people to not only hear my club music but see the club queen lifestyle. I’m also doing a lot with my hometown Newark and setting up a lot of events that will highlight the club culture. That ties in with my new monthly PBNJ which stands for Philly Bmore n Jersey Club. It’s rotating between each state. All that along with tours and new music.. ya’ll are spoiled.
